The Fruta Vida Story
Fruta Vida International was started in December 2004 by owner and founder, Anthony (Tony) Shaw. In Tony's search for a product that could stand on it's own merit to help create success for anyone willing to take advantage of his opportunity, he stumbled upon the three key Superfood ingredients in Fruta Vida – acai, cupuacu, and yerba mate'. After months developing the most effective formula for a powerful functional health beverage, he finally had “The Taste of the Rainforest” and was ready to develop Fruta Vida International as a stand-alone company that could propel thousands to success. Fruta Vida went into pre-launch in December 2004 and quickly made the official launch on January 3, 2005.
As those first few months of his new company began, Tony was shocked and amazed at not only the incredible testimonials he was receiving on a daily basis as people began using Fruta Vida, but also of the sheer number of people enrolling for his opportunity each day and the dollar amounts on checks going out the door weekly and monthly to his new group of dedicated distributors. The success of the product in the marketplace created the “word of mouth” networking atmosphere that quickly drove distributors into the tens of thousands in the first year alone.
With the huge success achieved by Fruta Vida during the early years, Tony realized he needed to secure the future of Fruta Vida International with strong leaders working beside him every day to continue the drive toward his goal of allowing all of his distributors the same opportunity for financial and health success. He wanted leaders at his side that understood network marketing from the corporate angle, but more importantly understood the trials every independent distributor faces while building their business.
He found his new corporate leaders right in his own backyard when he realized there were two individuals that stood out in his distributor base – not only as one of the top income earning teams in his company, but also as top trainers as well. Dean and Stephanie Field were consistent “star distributors” in his company and Tony knew he had to have them in house to solidify his future vision and goals. Tony asked Dean Field to become his new Director of Sales and Stephanie Field to become his new Director of Marketing on April 1, 2006.
Dean and Stephanie quickly went to work building training websites and modules, creating marketing systems, launching new products with the Rainforest Superfoods, opening new countries, and helping Tony create the company he had always envisioned. As Fruta Vida International continued to grow, Tony appointed Dean Field Vice President of Global Sales and Stephanie Field Vice President of Marketing and Operations in April 2007.
