Tony was raised in Washington, PA, thirty miles from Pittsburgh. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1969. In that same year, Tony entered the U.S. Marine Corps as a pilot.
He was stationed in Hawaii and Japan where he was commissioned and trained in F4 Jet Aircraft. While in the Marine Corps, Tony also served as a Squadron instructor and an Administrative Officer. He was given an honorable discharge in 1974.
After four years of owning a major appliance store in Pensacola, FL, Tony entered the cosmetics field as an independent distributor for Espree Cosmetics Corporation. Because of his success as a distributor, he was asked to join the Espree corporate staff in Dallas, TX to serve as National Development Director.
In January of 1981, Tony went to work for Mary Kay Cosmetics in Dallas as the Director of Sales Development. In his ten years with Mary Kay, Tony was involved in, and contributed to, every major program and improvement in sales, marketing and administration implemented during that period.
Tony worked with Mary Kay Ash directly, traveled with her to many parts of the world, and directly represented her in his position with the company. In those ten years, he saw the growth of Mary Kay go from $50 Million to over $300 million.
Tony moved to California to became the Vice President of Marketing for Arbonne International in 1990, developing all marketing strategies for this direct sales cosmetics company. However, missing Texas, he cut his stint short with Arbonne to move back to Dallas where he went to work for Surface Solutions, a party plan company.
Over the next two years Tony immersed himself in the study of the formulation of both skin care products and nutritional supplements. Tony researched and developed a very successful line of diet supplements at that time, and the sales of Surface Solutions grew in excess of 500% during his two years there.
Becoming aggravated with the Dallas lifestyle and commute, Tony moved to the resort area of Austin, TX called Lakeway, which is the home of Pro Image International today. Starting his own nutritional supplement development and distribution company, Uni Star Pro, there in 1993, Tony has never looked back. He developed contracts with fitness centers, health food stores, GNC and more.
Because of his background, expertise and love for the referral marketing distribution method, Tony founded the unique uni-level company, Pro Image International (originally called Pro Star) in the summer of 1995.
With the increased demand in the market for high-quality functional health beverages, Tony started his quest for a juice product with powerful Superfoods from the Amazon Rainforest. In finding the exact formula to fit his strict criteria of a quality product, Fruta Vida was created and became it’s own entity called Fruta Vida International at the official launch in January 2005.
Fruta Vida International quickly became Tony’s biggest success in his network marketing and direct sales career as the company immediately attracted tens of thousands of new distributors and customers wanting to consume his “Taste of the Rainforest”.

After attending college for Business Management, Dean Field started in sales and worked his way up the corporate ladder into upper-level management while achieving many national sales records. He began his networking career part-time in 1998 and became full-time in Feb. 2000. Along with his wife, they became very successful and were top income earners with two different networking companies before making Fruta Vida their home in January 2005.
Stephanie Field attended the University of Montana in Business Management. After she had their fourth child, she started her networking business in 1998. Working her business part-time, she was able to develop a solid foundation that allowed Dean to come into the business full-time. She later designed and implemented various marketing and training websites for the industry and has been instrumental in their success as a team with her abilities to present live on stage and over the phone.
After joining Fruta Vida in January 2005, Dean and Stephanie quickly used their talents in building organizations with strong networking skills and training applications into action. They immediately became one of the top income earners with Fruta Vida in the first year.
Tony Shaw, after recognizing their unique talents in their networking business as well as their business backgrounds, asked them to become Directors in the company in April 2006. They quickly jumped into their new roles to help Fruta Vida thrive as a network marketing opportunity and quality product provider.
In April 2007, Tony appointed Dean Field as the Vice President of Global Sales and Stephanie Field the Vice President of Marketing & Operations – the posts they hold today as they continue to develop the success of Fruta Vida and the independent distributors worldwide.
